Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police say a construction worker was seriously injured after falling from the roof of a new walkway between Carousel Center mall and the parking lot just before 1 p.m. Thursday.

Police say 26-year-old Phillip Miller, of East Syracuse, slipped and fell 33 feet to the ground.

Miller was wearing a safety harness, according to police, but the safety line wasn’t attached to anything.

Miller was transported to Upstate University Hospital with multiple internal injuries and broken bones. He is listed in serious, but stable condition.

OSHA is investigating the incident.
