A cold front prevents central New York from hitting the 90s again tomorrow. Thankfully, we aren’t expecting any rain from the front. While showers and thunderstorms are possible to our north and also well to our south, the Syracuse area is in a good position to see only sun and clouds. While tomorrow will feel cooler, it will actually be right around normal for the first day of July.
Monday will look fairly similar- temperatures in the low 80s with sun and clouds. We’re keeping in a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms for now, but nearly all of the computer models have been trending to feature a drier start to the work week. That being said, we can’t completely rule out the threat for rain due to an upper level disturbance that will be working its way through.
The best chance for showers and storms over the next 7 days seems to be Wednesday, the 4th of July, as a cold front moves through. If everything moves as expected a nice dry and seasonable air mass will move in for the end of the week.
