McDowell County, NC (WSYR-TV) – Police in North Carolina say that an identification card belonging to a missing Cicero-North Syracuse High School graduate was found with the body of a deceased woman.

Police cautioned, however, that the body still has not been positively identified.

On Monday, the Belmont Police Department announced that it had found a car registered to Elizabeth Stonger, who had been reported missing on Oct. 14, when she left her shift at a local Walmart.

Based on information provided by Stonger’s cell-phone service provider, police were searching the McDowell County area for the missing woman.
