Cops: Solvay man scammed Fulton auto dealership out of nearly $32K in cars in 2010
Fulton (WSYR-TV) – A Solvay man is facing grand larceny charges after he allegedly swindled a Fulton auto dealership out of nearly $32,000 worth of vehicles several years ago.
According to Fulton Police, 41-year-old Patrick Hunsinger visited Southern Image Auto in 2010 on at least two occasions while masquerading as an auto dealer in the Syracuse area.
They say he bought three different vehicles worth a total of $31,856 with bad checks issued by Chase Bank.
They do not know why clerical staff at the time failed to notice the deficiency.
Police say a clerk noticed the deficiency while going through old books recently.
Police caught up with Hunsinger on Friday at a location in Baldwinsville, charging him with three counts of third degree grand larceny.
