Cops: Suspect in Cortland County home invasion, stabbing may be in Syracuse
Cortland (WSYR-TV) – The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office is hoping the public can help them find a suspect who may have fled to Syracuse following a home invasion in which a female victim was stabbed multiple times.
The Sheriff’s Office says that Devon Williams, a black male who is 5-foot-2 and 130 pounds, is known to frequent locations in the city of Syracuse.
The Sheriff’s Office says that four suspects entered the home in the town of Cortlandville during the early morning hours on Friday, Oct. 4.
The woman's injuries were not life threatening.
Investigators say the suspects stole more than $3,000 and also cell phones.
Police say they caught three of the suspects, but Williams eluded them.
