Cops: Teen stole father’s credit card, charged thousands on online game site
Oneida County (WSYR-TV) – A 17-year-old in the Oneida County town of August is facing felony charges after being accused of stealing his father’s credit card and charging thousand of dollars to it using an online gaming site.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 17-year-old Tanner Smith, Lawson Road, broke into a locked room in the basement of his home and stole the Discover credit card.
He then used the card to spend $3,7000 on the site CubixScape.com.
Smith was arraigned in Town of Augusta Court and released on his own recognizance.
