Cops: Western New York school-bus driver was drunk behind the wheel
Geneseo (WSYR-TV) – A Western New York school-bus driver has been arrested after investigators say she was drunk behind the wheel with students on board.
According to Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputies, 47-year-old Manon Coyne was present at an unrelated incident that deputies responded to on Monday morning.
They determined that she was intoxicated and that she was under the influence when she picked up five students and dropped them off for summer session at a building in Geneseo school district.
They say she violated Leandra's Law, which imposes a stiffer penalty on those who drive drunk with children in the vehicle.
She was taken to the county jail in lieu of $15,000.
