Ithaca (WSYR-TV) -- Cornell University Police say that a reported rape on campus didn’t happen and the case has been closed.

Back in September, a young woman reported being raped on the trolley bridge between the engineering quad and college town.

Cornell Police say they performed extensive interviews and analyzed video and physical evidence, but they say the crime never happened.

The task force is now focused on investigating other reported sexual assaults on campus. During that same month, two other women reported being grabbed while walking on campus.
