Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Crews were called to the scene of a fire in Syracuse’s Valley area on Tuesday morning.

The home on Academy Place was undergoing remodeling and unoccupied at the time of the fire, according to officials on the scene.

Officials said the fire began in the basement and then burned a hole into the floor of the ranch style house.
 
About 35 firefighters were called to the scene.

No one was injured during the incident.
