BUFFALO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV/AP) - A settlement has been reached in the wrongful-death lawsuit filed against a Western New York amusement park by the family of a double amputee Iraq veteran killed when he fell out of a roller coaster.

The Buffalo News reports that lawyers for the amusement park and the veteran's family say a seven-figure settlement has been reached.

The lawyers say James Hackemer's two young daughters will be the beneficiaries.

He had lost both legs to a roadside bomb in Iraq - and was killed in July of 2011 when he fell out of a car on the roller coaster.
