Seneca County, New York (WSYR-TV) - The Seneca County Sheriff's Department has charged a 14-year-old with juvenile delinquency for committing acts that would constitute seven counts of child abuse and seven counts of endangering the welfare of a child if he were an adult.
Deputies say the teen boy had sexual contact with several children, ranging in age from six to nine-years-old, on several different dates over the course of the last nine months.
The day care center is not being identified, but investigators say it is located at the south end of Seneca County. Its owners have cooperated with investigators. The center has been suspended pending a hearing.
Seneca County Child Protective Services and the State Office of Children and Family Services were also called in. The investigation is ongoing.
