Driver charged after accidentally hitting, killing 4-year-old child

Windsor (WSYR-TV) -- State Police have charged the babysitter who accidentally hit and killed a four-year-old child with her car in the Town of Windsor Thursday morning.

37-year-old Brenda Hadlick has been charged with criminally negligent homicide.

Police say Hadlick was babysitting four-year-old Kenzee Wheeler when she accidentally struck the child while backing out of the driveway.

Wheeler was air lifted to Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City where she later died from injuries suffered in the accident.

Hadlick was arraigned and released on her own recognizance to appear before a grand jury at a later date.

The Town of Windsor is just east of Binghamton.
