Emergency crews respond to accident involving ambulance, waste vehicle in Tompkins County

Dryden (WSYR-TV) – Emergency crews responded to an accident involving an ambulance and a waste vehicle on State Route 13 in the town of Dryden on Friday morning.

A patient in the ambulance – as well as the driver and one other emergency responder – were transported to Upstate Medical, but the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office indicated that none of the people involved in the accident sustained life threatening injuries.

The waste vehicle’s driver was treated at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident with the help of State Police.

The accident occurred around 6:30 a.m.

Tompkins County 911 indicated that the road reopened around 10 a.m.
