Family of eight left homeless after Syracuse fire

SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - The Red Cross says a family of two adults and six children were able to escape a house fire on McLennan Avenue early Saturday morning.

No injuries were reported.

The fire appears to have started on the second floor of the home, which suffered major fire, smoke and water damage.

The Red Cross is assisting the family.
