Family of young victim in brutal rape, murder incident presents bracelets in thanks to police
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The family of a 10-year-old girl who was raped during a brutal incident in the town of Clay that also claimed the life of a 47-year-old woman honored police by presenting them with bracelets.
The child’s family wove the bracelets in order to thank police who responded to the incident, and to support the victim.
In response, State Police and Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office personnel took a picture of themselves wearing the bracelets to salute the child.
A Liverpool Central School District librarian – Lori Bresnahan – was allegedly stabbed to death by David Renz in March.
Renz has been indicted on a host of felonies relating to the incident – including murder, rape, and kidnapping.
The Onondaga County District Attorney’s office says it will pursue nothing less than life without the possibility of parole for Renz.
