Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Throughout the Syracuse University area, fan celebrated as the Orange advanced to the team’s first Final Four in a decade.
At the Varsity Pizza, families raised their sodas.
Leslie Gabriel, who watched the game at Varsity with her son, said, “The game was great. I loved the game. Syracuse is extraordinary as it's always been.”
Orange hats and shirts also filled the bars.
Students jumped on the roofs and cars of frat row and poured into Marshall Street, where many planned to stay for the rest of the night.
Fellow athletes shared their praise. Syracuse Field Hockey player Adrian Chambers said, “We're so proud of our boys. We play field hockey here and we made it to the Final Four this year and we really hope the guys can go all the way.”
