Five students transported to the hospital after bus crash

Ithaca (WSYR-TV) -- Five students were taken to the hospital after their school bus was involved in a crash on Thursday. Officials say it doesn’t appear that any of the students were seriously injured.

The accident happened at the intersection of North Geneva Street and West Seneca Street. Authorities say a car struck the side of the bus, which was transporting a total of 25 students from Boynton Middle School.

The driver of the car was ticketed for not yielding the right-of-way.
