Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- A 49-year-old North Syracuse man convicted on Federal child pornography charges has been sentenced to 17-and-a-half years in prison.
Michael Dolson, former president of the Cicero-North Syracuse girls field hockey booster club, was arrested on the charges back in 2010.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Dolson admitted to portraying himself as a 25-year-old woman online, using the screenname “mommyalicial1201.” He also claimed he had a three-year-old child he sexually abused and used the persona as a way of transmitting child pornography to an undercover New York State Police Investigator on five separate occasions.
Furthermore, the U.S. Department of Justice says Dolson encouraged the officer to find an infant to babysit and abuse and instructed him on how to do so.
Authorities also say Dolson possessed over 1,600 images and over 950 video files depicting children, infants and toddlers engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
Dolson has been ordered to serve a lifetime of supervised release in addition to his prison sentence and will have to register as a sex offender.
