Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A convicted sex offender who once worked for the Syracuse Department of Public Works is headed to jail.

In addition, Syracuse Police say they are actively investigating Mark Carrigan and that he could face more charges.

Mark Carrigan, who was sentenced to six years of probation for having sexual contact with a 15-year-old boy, admitted on Friday that he violated the terms of his probation.

A judge determined that Carrigan would spend 10 months in jail after he admitted that he drove a 14-year-old boy to school in February without written permission from a court.

Before his sentencing in November 2012, the level 3 sex offender had previous convictions stemming from sexual contact with underage boys.

He had also been convicted of failing to register as a sex offender.
