Former Seabreeze employee suspected of touching himself in front of 10-year-old boy
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - A former Seabreeze employee is facing charges after police said he inappropriately touched himself in front of a 10-year-old boy at the park.
20-year-old Jose Oliver is being charged with public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanor charges.
According to sources close to the child, it happened in a park bathroom while the boy was on a field trip on June 14.
The president of Seabreeze said that Oliver was fired following an internal investigation into the incident.
Park records show that Oliver was a new employee and working his seventh shift at the park.
Police say Oliver has a prior record, but a background check by Seabreeze didn’t turn anything up because the previous charges are still pending.
Park officials believe it was an isolated incident.
Oliver is due in Irondequoit Town Court on July 1.
