FORT DRUM, NY (WSYR-TV) – A chaplain assistant at Fort Drum is in custody after State Police arrested him on two felony charges Sunday.

State Police say they concluded a month-long investigation when they arrested 27-year-old Army Sergeant Jonathan McGeoch.

The investigation revealed that, through Facebook, McGeoch arranged to meet two underage boys in the Watertown area for the purpose of sexual contact.

He is charged with Attempted Dissemination of Indecent Material to a Minor in the 1st Degree and Possessing a Sexual Performance of a child. Both class E Felonies.

McGeoch was arraigned in the Town of Leray Court and is being held at the Jefferson County Justice Center in lieu of $30,000 cash bail or $60,000 bond.
