Watertown (WSYR-TV) – A Fort Drum soldier was arrested on Wednesday on charges that he engaged in criminal sex acts with two little girls.
Police say James Costigan, 32, of Calcium, performed the acts on 5-year-old and 8-year-old girls.
He was charged with two counts of criminal sexual acts in the first degree, a felony, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
Police allege that the incidents occurred in the town of Leray. The children are now in the care of Jefferson County Child Protective Services. Costigan was arraigned in Town of Leray Court and jailed on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
