Doug Hoffman is a Reagan conservative! He's just an average guy, hard-working, Red-Blooded AMERICAN, and not used to the spotlight. Most people are not used to public speaking, so he was nervous. He's definitely NOT a politician, EXACTLY the type of person we need in Washington. He stands for morals and principles, not a party. We need to get the average person in Washington and get the lawyers out!

The new voting paper ballot/scanners in Onondaga County are like taking a big step backwards. They make the voting process take a lot longer. And forget it if you make a mistake on your ballot. Why couldn't they just leave things as they were?

As a voter in Fulton County, Town of Northampton, all I can say is this election was a JOKE!!!! The "New Better EXPENSIVE Machines" were located in the corners taking up space. We had to put our paper ballots in the slot in front of the machine. Which could be taken out and reviewed at any time by anyone. The # on the ballot was placed next to our names on the roll. So much for CONFIDENTIAL voting! Now they are impounded. The entire thing was a sham! Which politician pocketed the money spent on the "New Machines"????? It was at taxpayer expense and taxpaying voters rights!

Did they use the same ones as Ononadaga County? And if not, did every county use something different?

I've been through Fulton county and from what I've seen, it's a wonder if anything works there. Talk about backwards....

This sounds fishy, it reminds me of something that ACORN or an associate group like them would attempt to pull. Having been thru the debockal of the Bush/Gore election in Florida, where ballot boxes were found months later in the swamps, mostly from Republician districts or Absentee ballots from GI's were challenged by AlGore because they didn't have a stick on stamp but were prepaid envelops. I'd watch this real close...

Agreed, that 6% to DEDE BLEW IT. I still do NOT get why Hoffman conceded with 22 districts still out. This whole thing in weird, but it is probably a reflection of the fact that only like 7 people have any questions or interest enough to comment on this story.

If the counties have an average voter count and Owens is leading the way he has mathmatically, Hoffman concedes. That does not mean he is done..At the end if Hoffman gets the majority vote he is allowed to accept the seat..A concession only means he feels he has lost not giving up..The crap votes that went to DeDe are the ones that cost him the vote..The idiots that voted for her threw their votes away and allowed a democrat she supported to win..Look at the totals..If the repubs had eaten their pride and actually wanted a conservative they would have thrown their support behind hoffman..The republican party screwed this up and DEDE dropping out three days before the election was a total pay-off see what happens with her next.

I and many many others did write in votes in the Town of Sterling as no one runs against these entrenched politicians & it's reported that all the ones up for election & reelection got 100% of the votes, what's up with that?????????
