Fulton (WSYR-TV) – Fulton Police have charged a man after responding to an incident that was reported as a “violent physical and sexual assault.”
The suspect allegedly punched the victim in the head, grabbed her by the throat, and threw her to the ground before raping her.
The victim suffered injuries during the alleged incident, but police described them as minor.
The incident occurred on July 30, but the investigation took police several months.
They arrested Lee Andrew Johnson Jr., 35, of Erie Street in Fulton on Monday, Dec. 3, and charged him with rape in the first degree, a felony; as well as menacing in the second degree, menacing in the third degree, and unlawful imprisonment in the second degree, all misdemeanors.
He was also charged with a violation, harassment in the second degree.
He was arraigned in Fulton City Court and taken to the Oswego County Public Safety Center in lieu of $10,000 or $20,000.
