Fulton man injured in North Country snowmobile accident
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A Fulton man had be airlifted to Upstate University Hospital after a snowmobile crash in New York’s North Country region Tuesday evening.
The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office says 58-year-old Gary Jones was on Sears Pond Road in the town of Montague when his snowmobile hit a curve and went down an embankment.
They say Jones was ejected from the sled and landed about 30 feet away.
He was taken to the hospital to be treated for back and chest injuries.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the accident is still under investigation.
Sheriff’s Deputies say charges may be pending.
