Fulton pair charged with welfare fraud

Fulton (WSYR-TV) – A Fulton couple is facing welfare fraud charges after Sheriff’s Investigators say they bilked the state out of more than $1,000 in Medicaid money.

According to the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, 29-year-old Richard Bristol and 27-year-old Heaven Bristol of Owen Road collected the Medicaid money from the Department of Social Services while declining to report some of their income.

The Bristols were charged with fourth degree grand larceny and fourth degree welfare fraud.

They were released on appearance tickets.

They are scheduled to appear in Town of Mexico Court on March 5.
