Fulton traffic stop leads to arrest of fugitive wanted in North Carolina
Fulton (WSYR-TV) – Fulton Police took a fugitive wanted for felony crimes in North Carolina into custody over the weekend after what initially appeared to be a routine traffic stop.
Police say they pulled Michael Digregorio over after he failed to signal that he was turning and for having what they described as an inadequate muffler.
When they checked his license, police discovered that multiple warrants had been issued for Digregorio in North Carolina.
When police tried to take Digregorio into custody, he fled. After briefly chasing him, police arrested Digregorio on traffic violations and a misdemeanor – obstructing governmental administration.
He faces felony charges in North Carolina for allegedly stealing a gun and household items totaling $15,000 from a home in Hoke County.
He was arraigned in Fulton City Court and is being held without bail.
