Grand Marshal for St. Patrick’s Parade selected
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Grand Marshal for the 2013 edition of the Syracuse St. Patrick’s Parade has been chosen.
Former US Attorney Tom Maroney will lead the march during the 31st annual parade.
Maroney is a lifelong Central New Yorker. His parents both came from County Clare in Ireland.
He spent much of his career as a professor at the Syracuse University law school. Vice President Joe Biden was one of his students.
Food Bank Executive Director Tom Slater will be honored as “Gael of the Year.”
The parade will be held on Saturday, March 9. It will begin at Clinton Square.
The parade will air live on NewsChannel 9.
