Hazmat team called to State Attorney General’s Office in Syracuse
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Hazardous material teams were called to the State Attorney General's Office in Syracuse Monday evening.
Syracuse Police, the Syracuse Fire Department and a Hazmat team were called to the building on Erie Boulevard West at about 6:30 p.m. for a hazardous material.
The Postal Inspector's Office told NewsChannel 9 that an unidentified powdery substance arrived in an envelope by mail at the Attorney General's Office.
The substance was screened and found to be non-hazardous.
The Postal Inspector’s Office says there haven’t been similar cases leading them to believe it is an isolated event.
