Russia (WSYR-TV) – A Herkimer County farmhand was airlifted to a Utica hospital on Monday after being gored by a bull.
According to State Police, 26-year-old Luis Martinez suffered from a possible collapsed lung, fractured ribs, and abdominal trauma.
The incident occurred at Davis Farms, 216 Grant Rd., town of Russia.
He was attacked by a 3-year-old Holstein bull while herding cows into a barn.
The farm’s owner found Martinez about 15 minutes after the incident.
He was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.
