Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- The governor is launching a new plan to prevent underage drinking and driving during prom and graduation season.

The effort is called “It’s your community -- It’s your call.”

A hotline has been created to report underage drinking. The call goes directly to State Police who will forward it to the appropriate jurisdiction.

The hope is that people will keep their eyes peeled for underage drinking to prevent DWI.

If you suspect someone is drinking underage, report it at 1-866-UNDER21. Your call will be kept anonymous.
