Investigators say Spencer Street fire was caused by an electrical failure

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Investigators have identified the cause of a fire that erupted at a vacant building on Spencer Street in the city of Syracuse on Wednesday night.
According to Syracuse Fire Department Investigator Ken Heffernan, the fire was caused by an electrical failure in the building at 960 Spencer St.
The fire broke out before 11 p.m. at the commercial structure.
Heffernan said the building sustained heavy damage.
