Boston (WSYR-TV) – With theories regarding the suspect or suspects behind Monday’s Boston Marathon bombing still running the gamut, Federal investigators revealed on Wednesday morning that they may have found a new clue.
According to CNN, an investigator with knowledge of the situation told them that a lid to a pressure cooker thought to have been used in the bombings had been found on a roof of a building at the scene.
Three people were killed on Monday when two explosions tore through the finish line area at the Boston Marathon.
CNN says 183 more were injured, with 17 of those injured taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The FBI says one device was contained in a pressure cooker along with what may have been nails, BBs, ball bearings, and other fragments.
They say the other device was also encased in metal, but they didn’t have enough evidence to determine whether it was a pressure cooker.
