J. Geils Band, Ronnie Milsap set for State Fair’s Chevy Court

Geddes (WSYR-TV) – Central New Yorkers may be treated to rock classics such as “Centerfold” and “Love Stinks” this summer when the J. Geils Band takes to the Chevy Court stage. The State Fair also announced that country western performer Ronnie Milsap will follow the legendary rock band the next day.

The Fair announced on Wednesday morning that the J. Geils Band will perform on Saturday, Aug. 25, at 8 p.m. Milsap will play the Chevy Court on Sunday, Aug. 26, at 2 p.m.

The J. Geils Band garnered fame with their single “Give it to Me.”

Milsap is the country western genre’s first well-known blind singer. He has won six Grammy Awards and has had 40 No. 1 country hits. His most popular songs include “It Was Almost Like a Song," "Smoky Mountain Rain," "(There's) No Getting Over Me," "I Wouldn't Have Missed It for the World," "Any Day Now," and "Stranger in My House."
