Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Syracuse Police say two men were assaulted following a late night party Thursday at 211 Clarendon Street, near Syracuse University.
Police say the men were assaulted by three uninvited guests.
The victims, 21-year-old Joshua Mahoney and 22-year-old Garrison Hammer, were assaulted when they asked the men to leave the party.
The victims were able to provide police with a description of the suspects. After searching the area, police were able to apprehend one of the men accused in the incident.
That suspect, 22-year-old Justin Hatter, of Syracuse, was taken into custody. The other two suspects have not yet been identified.
Hatter has been charged with assault and resisting arrest – both misdemeanors.
Mahoney and Hammer sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment.
Police are reminding students to call 911 immediately if they’re hosting a party and unwanted guests arrive.
