Oswego (WSYR-TV) -- The City of Oswego is in hot water over a new law. The Workforce Advocacy Center filed a lawsuit to challenge a new law banning felony convicts and sex offenders from driving a taxi.

Oswego City Council approved the law back in September.

The advocacy center says it discriminates against people with criminal records and wants the law to be declared invalid.

At the time of the vote, council members said the law was part of an overall effort to clean up the city and make it a safer place to live and work.
