Light rain and snow showers tonight

(WSYR-TV, Syracuse) Light rain and snow will continue across central New York tonight.  At first, most of the snow will fall over higher elevations but as we cool overnight close to freezing even Syracuse and other lower elevations will start to see some snow.  This snow will be light and we expect little if any accumulation but watch out on some of the roads later tonight. As temperatures get close to freezing anything that is wet on untreated roads could ice up.

What’s left of the snow showers will end quickly tomorrow morning.  Clouds will remain stubborn into the early part of tomorrow afternoon but we do think there will be a few breaks in the clouds late in the day as temperatures warm well into the 40s.
