Liverpool man formally charged in alleged insurance fraud conspiracy

Liverpool (WSYR-TV) -- A Liverpool man has been arraigned in an alleged insurance fraud conspiracy.

Christopher Deverse, 40, is accused of offering to pay a friend to set fire to his garage and burn his two Camaros.

The alleged plan was that he would collect the insurance money for his cars, which were valued at $80,000.

Deverso was formally charged in Onondaga County Court on Wednesday, but is currently free on bail.
