Local firefighter arrested on child porn charges

Manlius (WSYR-TV) -- Authorities say a local firefighter has been arrested on child porn charges.

35-year-old Timothy McKennan, who was a paid member of the Manlius Fire Department, was arrested Friday after a seven month long investigation.

McKennan has been charged with three counts of possessing a sexual performance of a child in the town of DeWitt and one count of attempted disseminating indecent material to a child in the village of Manlius.

McKennan is currently on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.
