East Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- A major fraud case is impacting a local business.
Craig Matuszak, Jr., 48, has pleaded guilty to defrauding his former employer out of more than $3-million.
Matuszak admits that he and two accomplices targeted Velocitel, Incorporated. The California-based company has an office located in East Syracuse.
Matuszak, who is from Saratoga County, admitted that he tried to bill the company for services that were never provided.
Matuszek has been ordered to pay restitution of more than $400,000.
Matuszek faces up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced in November.
