Man and woman hurt after motorcycle hits deer

SALINA, NY (WSYR-TV) – Two people were taken to Upstate University Hospital Sunday night after a motorcycle they were riding hit a deer.

The crash happened just before 9:30 p.m. on John Glenn Boulevard between Cold Springs Road and Kings Park Drive.

State Troopers at the scene told NewsChannel 9 an SUV was traveling east in the right-hand lane when it hit the deer first.

Then the motorcycle, traveling in the left lane, hit the deer moments later.

The male driver of the motorcycle and a female passenger were injured.

Their conditions are not known.

Police say the woman was seriously injured. The people in the SUV were not hurt.
