Man shot on Midland Avenue, police search for suspect
SYRACUSE (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police are investigating the shooting of a man at 2420 Midland Avenue, shortly before 11:00 Friday night.
Police say 28-year old Jamel Works of Syracuse was shot in both legs with pellets from a shotgun blast.
Works was taken to Upstate Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect is only described as a black male wearing a dark clothing.
While searching the area, officers were able to find a .20 gage shotgun hidden behind 217 Newell Street, which police believe was used in the shooting.
