FULTON, NY (WSYR-TV) - A Marine helped surprise his sister at her dance recital Saturday afternoon at G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton.
Corporal David Wallace arrived home Thursday night from Afghanistan.
His mother, Debra Galoni, kept the arrival a secret from the rest of the family so they could surprise them when David walked out onto the stage at fourth-grader Dana Galoni’s dance recital.
Debra told NewsChannel 9 that David was supposed to come home next weekend but when he found out he could come home a week early, the plan was put into action.
“She did not think I was going to make it,” said Wallace.
“She means the world to me. Her and my other little sister. I would do anything for this little girl.”
Wallace has served in the Marines for four years.
