Massage therapist in Clay charged with sex abuse

Town of Clay (WSYR-TV) – A massage therapist in the town of Clay has been charged with sex crimes after a woman told Sheriff’s Deputies that he touched her inappropriately during a February appointment.

Sheriff’s Deputies say that a 27-year-old woman contacted them immediately after her appointment to report that her massage therapist had repeatedly touched her genitalia and made sexual contact with her.

Anthony Courcy, 41, of 8266 Warbler Way, Liverpool, was arrested on Feb. 23 and charged with criminal sex act in the third degree, a felony, and sexual abuse in the third degree, a misdemeanor.

Courcy has been a licensed massage therapist since 2011. The Sheriff’s Office forwarded their case information to the New York State Education Department, which oversees licenses given to massage therapists.

Courcy was arraigned in Town of Clay Court. He posted bail and was released.
