Memorial grows for Bresnahan at crime scene
CLAY, NY (WSYR-TV) - State Police were back at the scene of Thursday night’s deadly carjacking. Also at the scene near Verplank and Bennet road in Clay was a growing memorial for the victim, 47-year-old Lori Bresnahan.
People have been stopping by to honor their beloved librarian and friend with colorful bouquets of flowers and letters.
A letter from one her Bresnahan's students placed next to a bouquet reads, "I think you were the most caring and helpful librarian. I will never forget you."
Bresnahan and a 10 year old child had just left gymnastics class at CNY Gym Centre at Great Northern Mall when they were attacked.
The owner of the gym said the loss has hit everyone there extremely hard and told NewsChannel 9, "Our hearts are pouring out to the family. Lori was a wonderful woman and our hearts are broken."
