Middle school principal charged with forcible touching
Geneva (WSYR-TV) – The Geneva Middle School Principal has been charged with forcible touching. Geneva Police said that the alleged incident did not happen on school property, nor were children involved.
Geneva Police arrested 44-year-old Carmine Calabria on Friday morning, charging him with forcible touching, a class A misdemeanor.
A release from police did not elaborate on what led to the criminal charge.
He was arraigned and released to return to court on April 1.
The school district issued a release shortly after the administrator's arrest became public indicating that Calabria had been placed on administrative leave.
“There are issues that came to our attention that need to be investigated,” said Superintendent Trina Newton. “We want the investigation to move forward without impediments."
Anyone with information on the alleged crime is asked to call Geneva Police at (315) 789-1111 or email email@example.com.
