'Missing' SUNY Oswego student reported safe

Oswego (WSYR-TV) – SUNY Oswego Police say the student who was feared missing after he had not been heard from in several days was found safe and unharmed in New York City.

Friends became concerned after they had lost contact with 26-year-old Lei Deng, a SUNY Oswego student. He was last seen last week in front of the Hart Hall dorm.

Police had thought that he might have traveled to New York City, but were concerned since no one had contact with him for 48 hours.

Oswego (WSYR-TV) - A missing person investigation is underway in Oswego, where a SUNY Oswego student hasn't been seen since early Friday morning.

Police say 26 year old Lei Deng was last seen at about 8 a.m. Friday near Hart Hall on the college campus. 

Police believe he may have traveled to New York City, but are concerned because the last contact he had with anyone was Friday night. 

Deng stands about 6 feet tall, with black hair and brown eyes. He weighs between 165 and 170 pounds.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact SUNY Oswego Police at 315-312-5555.
