Clay (WSYR-TV) – Onondaga County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a woman Tuesday afternoon after her son reported that she was intoxicated when she picked him up from school.
County Sheriff Kevin Walsh reports that a deputy responded to the 8000 block of Bennett Road in the Town of Clay at approximately 3:10 p.m. after receiving the report from the 14-year-old. When the deputy arrived, he found Katrina Henderson, 35, of Manlius, in the driver’s seat of her parked car. She had a .13% blood alcohol content, and was arrested for DWI. The charge is a felony because of
Leandra’s Law, which increases punishment for DWI if a minor is in the vehicle.
Henderson was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child and having an open container in the vehicle.
Henderson was arraigned Tuesday evening in Town of Clay Court.
