Rochester (WSYR-TV) – Rochester Police have charged a mother with manslaughter and arson in connection with a fire that killed four of her children.13WHAM reports
police have Bobbie Kugler in custody after arresting her in the in Poughkeepsie area.
The victims of the fire that ripped through the home on Grape Street in February were Gage Reavey, 14; Gregory Kugler, 13; Kandee Kugler, 12; and Kaiden Kugler, 6.
The fire chief said it appeared the fire started in a front bedroom but would not give further details on how the fire was set.
Kugler is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow.
Firefighters rescued several others from the home, including Kugler and her 2-year-old son Tyron Jackson.
Three others escaped the blaze: Waltquaries Evans, 15; Giovanni Delorm, 13; and James Austin, 25.
It was the first deadly fire in Rochester in more than two years.
