Much cooler weather returns tonight

(WSYR-TV, Syracuse) Our fling with unseasonably warm weather will come to an end tonight.  The culprit will be a strong cold front.

Cooler and cooler air will move in overnight and by the time the steadiest precipitation moves out late tonight it is likely to change from rain to snow. Over higher elevations south and east of Syracuse there could even be a light accumulation over higher elevations.

A much cooler day is on tap for tomorrow.  We will struggle to rise into the low 40s and there will be a few lingering rain or snow showers.
